ok… so it’s been a while

I can’t believe the early snowfall. In some ways I’ve been happy about it — it always makes being home feel more comfortable and cozy. Has anyone else found that their desire for sweets, warm, heavy foods and pastas increases as the weather temperature decreases? I’m having that problem. It’s weird… some of you may or may not know, but I’ve been on a weight loss crusade since I started 2006. It is one of the only new years resolutions I’ve ever kept - which was to lose 20 pounds. I gained that and more in the 2 years since I’ve been married, and I got to a point at which I said - ENOUGH! So I’ve done it…actually I’ve lost 25 since January. It’s pretty incredible. But I am certainly getting nervous because of my food desires changing. I was so into fruit and veggies this summer and now i feel less so. Hopefully keeping up my exercise will help to maintain the weight loss and drop just 6 more pounds!!

Anyway - I hope things are going well for everyone! I think the We Will Tell campaign this month was the most powerful one so far, for various reasons - its really is becoming real that the church is moving. I love that. I am so excited. For some of you who’ve been here as long as i have you know what i mean. it has seemed so far away for so long…and now that we’re builing its just so incredible. our number is over 915,000 right now… we need to keep giving to bring it up to 1 million dollars at the bare minimum. I know it’s hard but the church can’t come alive without us! Also, if you haven’t checked it out, you can give online for the Thanskgiving outreach to provide a meal at the holiday season. It is an incredible program which brings much joy to people who don’t have a whole lot. Click here to give!
